Do you know whether we need to license Cold DR for VMware?
I could not find any official document saying the need/not need of license.

Hi there, the definitive answer depends on the exact setup and characteristics of the environment (and for instance if you are using VMware Site Recovery Manager) and in addition on what agreements and licenses are in play, but in general both ‘protected’ as well as recovery servers need to be licensed (there are several ways to do that). If you have a dedicated VMware account manager, or a reseller that you can fall back on, it might in the end be best to present them your specific use case and ask for a (written) statement on the best licensing scenario(s).
